FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
RockItt safe and well despite floods
Supergroup unaffected by severe weather pummeling the west of England
July 24, 2007 -- Fans of rock outfit RockItt will be
pleased to hear that the band have survived the heavy rain and consequent floods
that have been battering England
where the band are currently rehearsing ahead of their forthcoming European
Tour. Fan Jayne Knockers expressed what thousands are thinking: “I’ve
lost everything in the floods; my TV, furniture, the budgie, photographs of the
children when they were young…everything” said Knockers (23) “but thank
goodness the boys in RockItt are OK…”
In fact, the band have been locked away in the studio
working so hard that they have barely noticed the chaos caused by the widespread
flooding up and down the country.
“Oh, has it been raining?” said bassist Wayne Kranium
when told of the rain and the floods. “I’m always quite moist and the
studio’s so damp anyway that I hadn’t really noticed the difference”.
The floods have meant that demand for clean water and fresh
food has been extremely high. Buzz Muffberger said that the first he’d
heard of it was on a brief visit to the shops. “The first I’d heard of
it was on a brief visit to the shops”, he said. “The rest of the band
made me nip out to the bakery as sort of a forfeit because I was struggling with
a guitar solo” he explained. “There were queues around the block when
I got there and the place was packed. People were panic-buying bread and
baked goods of all descriptions. Warm muffins were literally selling like
hot cakes…” concluded the guitarist.
